Ahmedabad: A student who appeared for NEET-UG at a school in Gujarat’s Godhra embroiled in a paper leak controversy last year will get her medical entrance result following Gujarat high court‘s orders, some 10 months after the exam, .
Kulsum Kothi had taken the test at Jay Jalaram School on May 5, 2024, where district administration conducted a raid and exposed a racket of alleged malpractice and leak.
CBI took over the probe after a countrywide scam was suspected. Kulsum’s result was withheld by National Testing Agency (NTA) on the ground that CBI suspected Kulsum’s involvement. NTA cited CBI summons issued to the student and her father, Firdos Kothi, under CrPC. After investigations, CBI filed a chargesheet in Sept 2024 against five people, including the trustee of Jay Jalaram School. Kulsum’s name did not appear in the chargesheet but NTA did not declare her result despite repeated requests.
