Ahmedabad: During the fourth round of PG medical course admissions, all 973 participating students received seat allocations. Despite this, 11 seats from the available 88 remained vacant. Several unfilled positions were noted in municipal corporation medical colleges, across both local and all-India quotas.
Students were required to submit their preferences between Feb 20 and Feb 24 for the fourth admission round. Following the third round, 88 seats were available, attracting 973 student applications. Today’s allocation process still left 11 general quota seats unoccupied. The unfilled positions were predominantly in non-clinical departments.
Officials reported that after all four rounds, vacant seats remained in departments such as biochemistry, physiology, and anatomy at SMIMER in Surat as well as LG and NHL in Ahmedabad.
The final allocation statistics show that 2,159 seats were distributed: 1,788 in general quota; 309 in management quota; 36 in NRI quota and 26 in in-service quota. Successful candidates must secure their admission by paying fees before the Feb 27.
