In this matter, a case of attempted murder has been registered in the Katargam police station.
Surat : In Surat, policemen are regularly attacked while regulating traffic including checking vehicles, while a Lokrakshak Dal jawan was thrown on the bonnet of a car for 300 meters while checking vehicles in Katargam area. CCTV footage has emerged of the youth pushing the policeman on the bonnet and other policemen running behind the car. The driver took the policeman on the bonnet and threw him against the front wall. So the policeman was shifted to the hospital due to injury on his leg. On the other hand, during the interrogation of the 19-year-old driver, it came to know that the accused has been converting interest money since childhood. Currently, the police have registered case of attempted murder and are taking further action.
Furthermore, a team of Katargam Police was conducting vehicle checking under the Alkapuri Bridge in view of the Diwali festival. In the meantime, 25-year-old public constable Gautam Joshi was stopping white color car with black glass without a number plate and checking it. Meanwhile, the car driver drove his car at full speed and ran over the bonnet of the police car, but instead of stopping the car, the driver took the policeman 300 meters away from the Alkapuri bridge to the wall of the Sumul dairy and dropped him on the bonnet.
The entire incident was caught in the CCTV camera installed there. It can be seen that the car driver is driving his car at full speed. Other policemen are also running behind the car. In this whole matter, the Katargam police have registered crime of attempted murder and detained the car driver, 19-year-old Devraj Badiya, and taken legal action. On the other hand, Gautam Joshi, a jawan of Lokrakshak Dal was rushed to the hospital with injuries including his left leg in the whole incident when the driver fell 200 to 300 meters away.
