Efforts are on to trace the IMEI numbers of all the phones, except the seized mobile phones, to find the original owners.
Surat : Dindoli police arrested two men snatching mobile phones from different areas of Surat city. The police seized 71 mobiles, moped and valuables worth Rs 5.52 lakh from them and a total of 7 crimes have been solved. It has been revealed that, both the accused are habitual criminals. The name of the moped driver was asked to be Mehul Gohil and the name of the person sitting behind the moped was Jitu Sonkar. 6 mobiles were recovered from both the accused. Another 51 mobile phones were recovered from the Activa. While inquiring about this mobile phone, it was said that snatching and theft was done from different areas of Surat city and Dindoli area.
The women to whom they had sold the mobiles while taking them to Kanjarwad were not found, but another woman named Babita Rajnath who came near the RCC wall opposite the railway track was found with 14 mobile phones without bills in a cloth bag. A total of 57 mobile phones and 14 mobile phones from another woman were found from both accused, a total of 71 mobile phones worth Rs.4.72 lakh, a blue color moped worth Rs.80,000 and a total of Rs.5.52 lakh were seized and 7 crimes were detected. Efforts are on to trace the IMEI numbers of all the phones, except the seized mobile phones, to find the original owners.
