Ahmedabad: In a recent drive, the health department of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation inspected 818 units across various areas of the city, and issued notices to 269 units for violating regulations. A total of 506kg of inedible food and 450 litres of inedible liquid were destroyed between May 25 and June 6. Due to unhygienic conditions, Shreeji Restaurant and Octane Pizza Restaurant in Navrangpura were sealed. During this period, 145 food samples were collected from different units and sent to a food laboratory for testing.Additionally, a raid was conducted at a sauce factory in Bapunagar, where 4,200kg of suspicious sauce were destroyed. Furthermore, 294 TPC tests were conducted on food oil used in snack shops across various areas of the city.
