Surat : In the diamond industry, Diwali vacations have come early, vacations have opened later than scheduled and many small and large factories have also closed down. Because of this, a large number of jewelers have become unemployed and in the last 8 to 10 months, approximately 38 diamond workers from Surat have committed suicide and cut their lives short, it has been submitted to the Chief Minister. The jewelers brought various demands to the Chief Minister.Under the auspices of Worker Union Gujarat and under the leadership of Chairman of Indian Diamond Institute, Diamond Worker Union Gujarat Mandal met Labor and Employment Minister Balwantsinh Rajput and made a presentation, in which the Region Chairman of Gems and Jewelery Export and Promotion Council also gave his support.
