Ahmedabad: In a major negligence that has come to light, 73 Ahmedabad schools allegedly failed to collect the board exam marksheets of Class 10 and 12 (general and science stream), leaving several students unable to proceed with admission formalities without this essential document. This despite the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) repeatedly issuing instructions to schools informing them of the May 13 collection deadline. The Ahmedabad City district education officer (DEO) has now issued formal notices to these 73 schools, warning of action. They must now collect the marksheets and certificates from the DEO office using an official school letterhead. Additionally, around 60 schools in Ahmedabad also failed to collect the marksheets of Class 9 students who took the Prakharta Shodh Kasoti. Results were declared on March 25. TNN
