Highest 44.6 degrees in Patan, mercury crosses 40 in 10 cities including Ahmedabad, Junagadh
It is to be noted that, Patan was the hottest place in the country for the first time on Wednesday. Not only that, 8 cities of Gujarat were included in the top 10 hottest cities of the country. Due to the effect of high air pressure at upper levels in the atmosphere, the heat wave has returned to the country including Gujarat.
Moreover, Patan and Maharashtra’s Jalgav recorded the highest temperature in the country at 44.6 degrees on Wednesday. While more than 10 cities of Gujarat recorded more than 40 degree temperature. In the next four to five days, heat wave will continue across the state.
Although, especially in different areas of Saurashtra-Kutch and North-Central Gujarat, the temperature may reach 44 to 45 degrees. The important thing then is that out of the 10 cities that proved to be the hottest in the country on Wednesday, 8 cities are from Gujarat.
Further, an anticyclonic circulation is formed due to high air pressure in the upper atmosphere, due to which the warm northwesterly winds of the desert-arid region are drawn into the Bay of Bengal. Due to which the temperature has increased in different areas of Gujarat.
Lastly, this picture is from Ghata village near Vyara in Tapi district. Here the ancient temple of Hanumanji is surrounded by 400 year old banyan trees. Among the spread over an area of 1.5 vigha, the heat is less than the outside environment by 4-5 degrees.
