Ahmedabad: A tour operator in the Vastrapur area was molested allegedly for refusing to confirm the ticket of a minor. Vastrapur police registered a case on Saturday.
The 47-year-old complainant stated that she runs a tour and travel business. One of their clients booked eight tickets for a Dubai tour. Later, one more ticket was booked by another person for his eight-year-old daughter, and four tickets of his family members were cancelled.
The operator informed the client that since the girl was nearly eight years old, she could not travel to Dubai without her parents. “We suggested the client to cancel the ticket, but he repeatedly insisted over the phone to confirm the booking of the ticket,” the complainant said.
On Friday, the complainant and her husband were in the office when the client came there and told the staff to confirm the ticket without her parents. However, when the staff insisted that she could not travel, the client called the father of the girl, who came to the office with his wife and his friend.
“During this, my husband and I came out from the inner office upon hearing the noise, and all four of them started speaking to us inappropriately. When my husband and I tried to explain, the father of the girl spoke to me inappropriately and pushed me on my chest with his hand, causing me chest pain. Our office staff called the 108 ambulance, and I was admitted to the Sanjivani Hospital in Vastrapur, where I am currently receiving treatment,” the complainant stated.
She lodged the complaint against four persons, including two women, from the hospital.
