Ahmedabad: One person was killed and two others were injured in a road accident near Amnagar Crossroad on the Sanand-Thol Road in Ahmedabad district on Thursday morning.The accident occurred when Vikramji Dabhi, 35, from Nidhrad village in Sanand, was travelling on a motorcycle with his wife Kali and son Kismat. They were on their way to a family function in Bavla when their vehicle was hit by a loading rickshaw near Amnagar. Vikramji died on the spot, while his wife and son were injured in the accident.According to an FIR filed with Sanand police by Meruji Dabhi, a relative of the deceased, the loading rickshaw was being driven in a careless manner when it struck the motorcycle.All three were taken to Sola Civil Hospital in Ahmedabad.Doctors later declared Vikramji dead. Kali and Kismat were under treatment.Sanand police registered a case against the loading rickshaw driver for causing death due to negligence and rash driving.
