AHMEDABAD: Strength and conditioning coach Jesal Trivedi, 47, has entered the Guinness World Records. Trivedi recently received his certificate for a feat accomplished earlier this year on Jan 12 — running 50km with a 40-pound backpack in 8 hours and 50 minutes. For Trivedi, the marathon was not just a test of physical endurance but a challenge to societal norms, proving that age is no barrier to achieving extraordinary goals. His record-breaking effort stands as a testament to determination, resilience and disciplined strength training.Aformer Gujarat state heavyweight boxing champion, Trivedi turned to fitness coaching after a shoulder injury ended his boxing career. Over the past decade, he has focused on bridging the gap between gym-goers and endurance athletes. “Strength and endurance are two sides of the same coin,” he said. “Many people chase fad diets and fitness trends focused solely on leanness. I wanted to prove that concurrent training can unlock extraordinary potential in both strength and stamina.”
