Ahmedabad: When a 39-year-old businessman from Danilimda arrived at a shop in Chandkheda on June 30 for a routine delivery, he did not expect to leave with a broken hand and missing phones. He was taken to three unidentified locations around Chandkheda, where the assaults continued. At one point, he managed to escape by jumping off the moving scooter and took shelter inside a nearby residential society. He lost both his two mobile phones in the scuffle.Thanani eventually contacted his wife and son from a local shop and was taken to a hospital. Doctors confirmed the fracture in his hand.
