SLUG: PREPARATIONS BEGIN
Ahmedabad: The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) began preparation to evaluate answer sheets ahead of the Class 10 and 12 board exams. The board already distributed evaluation duties to teachers. This year’s assessment will involve over 69,000 teachers at 458 evaluation centres across the state to facilitate prompt results.
The board examinations are scheduled from Feb 27 to March 17. The authorities finalised all arrangements, including hall ticket distribution. Teachers received their evaluation orders alongside hall tickets, enabling them to start assessment work immediately after the exam.
The assessment structure comprises 458 centres handling 119 subjects, divided into 30 major and 89 minor categories. The board appointed 69,284 teachers for this task. For Class 10, 37 subjects will be assessed by 35,510 teachers across 214 centres.
For Class 12 general stream, 25,092 teachers will evaluate 63 subjects at 175 centres. The science stream assessment involves 8,682 teachers evaluating 19 subjects across 69 centres.
With these arrangements in place, the assessment process will commence shortly after exams end, facilitating swift result declaration by GSEB.
