AHMEDABAD: The Process Equipment business of Godrej Enterprises Group is investing Rs 200 crore to expand its manufacturing facility in Dahej, Gujarat. The facility will manufacture critical process equipment for hydrogen, nuclear, geothermal, refinery, and petrochemical sectors.
This follows a Rs 300 crore investment made earlier by the company. With the Phase-III expansion, the facility’s annual manufacturing capacity will rise to 30,000 MT.
The development includes a dust-free enclosure for manufacturing exotic materials, dedicated bays for internals production, and extended fabrication yards.
Hussain Shariyarr, Executive Vice President & Business Head, Process Equipment, Godrej Enterprises Group, said, “The energy sector is shifting towards cleaner solutions, and manufacturers must adapt to these evolving requirements. This expansion enhances our capability to produce large-scale, advanced equipment for clean energy applications, further strengthening India’s role in the global energy transition.”
The expanded unit will include an extended fabrication yard for complex equipment up to 16 metres in diameter and 140 metres in length. A strategically placed 30m x 10m advanced heat treatment furnace will help reduce carbon emissions.
The facility, certified Zero Waste to Landfill, integrates over 80% automation with Industry 4.0 technologies, such as IoT-based machining and predictive maintenance, improving precision and efficiency.
Equipped with a sea-going jetty, the facility enables direct export of oversized equipment. Currently, 70% of its production is exported to over 40 countries across six continents, with key markets in the Americas and the Middle East.
