Ahmedabad: The Gujcet 2025 exam for science stream groups A, B and AB students will be held by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board on March 23.
Since 2017, Gujcet has been established as a compulsory entrance test for students seeking admission to undergraduate engineering programmes in Gujarat colleges through the centralised admission system. The exam is also required for students pursuing degree/diploma pharmacy courses after completing their Class 12.
The upcoming exam will be based on the current NCERT-aligned Class 12 science stream curriculum of the board. Since 2019, schools affiliated with Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) have implemented NCERT textbooks for physics, chemistry, biology and mathematics.
The test format consists of multiple-choice questions in various subjects. The physics and chemistry section features a combined paper with 80 questions worth 80 marks, using one OMR answer sheet with a 120-minute duration.
For biology and mathematics, separate question papers and OMR answer sheets are provided, each containing 40 questions worth 40 marks and allowing 60 minutes. Candidates may choose to write the exam in Gujarati, English or Hindi.
