Works including 5 (five) overhead tanks will be undertaken in Adajan, Proposal for getting grant from any scheme of State Government submitted to Water Committee
Surat: In the operation for 24 hours water scheme in all areas of the city by Surat Municipality, now in the next day work for 24 hours water scheme at the cost of Rs.86.8 crore has been carried out in Adajan and Rander zone of the municipality. A decision will be taken on the proposal for getting a grant from any scheme of the state government for this scheme has been presented before the water committee.
Furthermore, for these two areas, DPOs were prepared for designing rising mains, upgradation of distribution network and operation and maintenance including SCADA system to provide water supply on 24 hours basis through new four tanks and Hayat Jogani Nagar tank.
Although, the entire project will cost Rs.86.8 crore. However, the committee meeting will decide on the ‘Swarnim Jayanthi Chief Minister’s Urban Development Scheme’ for this project and if the grant is not available then to take action to get financial assistance from any state or central scheme.
