The hospital will be started by expanding the additional open space in the health center
The municipality has undertaken to start procedure of hospital by expanding the existing health center in Puna, which is located in the Varachha zone area of Surat Municipality, with a population of 2.5 lakh. A provision has been made in the budget for the municipality to build nine 50-bed hospitals in nine zones. As a part of which four hospitals have been started in the city and now the procedure has started one more hospital at Pune.
Moreover, Bamaroli CHC in Udhana zone of Surat municipality, Bhatena CHC in Limbayat zone, Katargam CHC at Katargam and 50 bed hospital at Pal in Rander are functioning. Urban health centers at Pune and Kosad will also be upgraded to 50-bed hospitals in the coming days. During this operation today Mayor Hemali Boghavala visited the Urban Health Center of Pune.
Lastly, a 50-bed hospital was planned to be built at this place. At present, Pune Urban Health Center has about 250 OPDs per day cases come. More patients are coming to this place due to expansion of open land near the health center at a cost of one crore rupees, 50 bed hospital facility will be available to 2.50 lakh people living in the vicinity in the near future.
