A unique initiative of Vidyakunj School, the bus will be rolled across the city
To initiate, Vidyakunj-Vidyadip group president Swami Smruti Vidyamandir will start movable school so that children living on footpaths are not deprived of education.
Furether, the school will be inaugurated on 14th and the work will be started. For this, benches and boards have been installed in the bus to create an atmosphere like a school classroom. There will also be a TV to keep the kids entertained.
Moreover, 32 children can study in the bus. In the first phase, this bus will ply between Rander and Adajan. The children will be taken in the bus and taught along with keeping the bus parked in the garden, temple premises, school premises or open space where water and washroom facilities are available.
Apart from that, especially 5 to 14 years old children will be given knowledge. Later, if the child wants to study in the school, an attempt will be made to admit him. Older children will be taught skills including electrical, plumbing so that they can get employment.
For this, a bus has been purchased for 7.50 lakhs, out of which 3.25 lakhs has been spent on interior, bench, TV, board and 1 lakh has been spent. A total of 8.64 lakhs has been spent including teacher’s salary, diesel, breakfast etc.
Lastly, on the birth centenary of Pramukh Swami, when we started the service by giving kits to families living on footpaths in Surat who could not go for service, the idea of giving literacy to such children came and started a movable bus school, which will be started from 14th.
