Ahmedabad: The town planning committee of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) on Wednesday unveiled plans to tackle encroachments in the Bhadra Plaza vicinity of the Lal Darwaza area. The AMC resolved to evict vendors who lack official space allocation.
The authorities sectioned the Bhadra Plaza area into seven zones, with dedicated teams assigned to clear unauthorised structures from each zone. A systematic plan of action will be executed to address the encroachment issues. Over the previous decade, the AMC struggled to maintain proper control over vendor space allocation within the Bhadra Plaza.
