Arizona US Presidential Election 2024 results: House, Senate, local elections – What we know


The Republican candidate Donald Trump won the 2024 United States presidential election after defeating his Democratic rival Kamala Harris.

The US President-elect won the state of Arizona, securing the state’s 11 electoral votes and completing his sweep of the seven swing states in the election.

What do the voters say?

According to the Associated Press, two-thirds of those asked in Arizona said their ballots were in support of Harris, while one-third said their vote was against the Republican Donald Trump.

The report further said among Trump supporters, eight out of 10 said their vote was for the Republican and two said it was against Harris.

Four out of 10 voters in Arizona reportedly said the major issues in the 2024 US presidential election were the economy and employment.

About one-quarter of Arizona voters said immigration is the most pressing issue, and about one in 10 named abortion, the AP survey said.

Major issues in Arizona

According to AP, 39 per cent of voters in Arizona said the economy was the biggest in the 2024 US presidential election.

Meanwhile, 23 per cent reportedly named immigration as a concerning issue in the election.

Whereas 13 per cent said the abortion ban and reproductive rights were the major issues with others naming healthcare, climate and gun policy among the issues that decided the 2024 election in Arizona.

Senate election in Arizona

The Democratic congressman Ruben Gallego won in Arizona defeating the Republican nominee and former journalist Kari Lake.

A battleground state

The state of Arizona was once considered a Republican stronghold and later on developed into a swing state. In recent years, both the Democratic and Republican parties have won the state.
