Gandhinagar : Gandhinagar zone CID crime team raided the Pelican Immigration Consultancy at Ugti Corporate Park in Kudasan, Gandhinagar and exposed the huge scandal of fake Canadian work visa – Permanent Residency Visa, and a case has been registered against three agents from Gandhinagar – Delhi. Now it has come to know that, six people were cheated of Rs 48 lakh by having fake Canada work visa stamps stamped in their passports by the agents. As a result of which, in the coming days, the CID crime investigation is likely to reveal a fake visa scam worth millions of rupees. 33-year-old Viral Patel from Ahmedabad and runs an electrical business. Last February 2023 there was a function. At that time viral discussed going to Canada with friends in the society, and his friend said that, his cousin’s friend knew an agent named parth Jani. The agent also provides Canadian Work Permit Visa Appointment Letter and Permanent Residence. Hence Viral visited the office of Parth Jani’s Pelican Immigration Consultancy for a work permit visa, where, after talking about Canada visa, Viral and his son-in-law offered Canada’s work permit visa and PR for a family of Rs. 58 lakh and total 1 crore 16 lakhs and talked about paying ticket money separately.
After that, viral borrowed money little by little from his relatives. 48 lakhs had been paid to the agent Parth Jani, but as promised, the Canadian visa was not received and the money was demanded. However, Agent Parth Jani did not return the passport or the money. After repeated requests, agent Parth Jani sent a ticket to Canada on September 17, 2023 on WhatsApp saying that, Canada’s work permit visa has been approved. On checking the booking reference of the ticket online, Viral found that the ticket was wrong. Meanwhile, Parth Jani’s friend Prakash Patel called and said if he wanted the passport back, Rs. 19 lakhs was demanded.
Following which Viral Patel applied in Gandhinagar CID Crime. Pursuant to which the CID crime team detained Parth Jani, raids were conducted at his Pelican Immigration Consultancy home. From where the passports of six people, including Viral and his cousins, stamped with wrong Canadian visas were found. On strict questioning of this Parth, he confessed that this visa is false and fake. This fake visa was made by him with his friend at Vasantnagar Delhi.
