Gandhinagar: Chief minister Bhupendra Patel met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Monday.
Posting pictures of his meeting with the PM, the CM wrote on X: “We discussed various issues related to the overall development of Gujarat and received valuable guidance from him on how to more effectively deliver benefits of govt schemes to each beneficiary.”
The meeting gained significance as it took place shortly after the Congress Working Committee and AICC session held in Ahmedabad recently. The meeting also sparked speculations of a possible reshuffle in the state govt in the near future, and an impending change of guard of the state BJP president.
Sources said that the CM discussed various initiatives that are being planned as part of Urban Development Year observance, which are scheduled to begin from May 1. Additionally, the state govt has drawn up elaborate plans to commemorate the 150th birth anniversaries of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and Birsa Munda, and these programmes were also discussed at the meeting.
