Ahmedabad: In a strong show of social commitment, several of Gujarat’s leading industry associations and corporate houses organised blood donation drives, collectively contributing 1,130 units of blood.Shri Manekchowk Sona Chandi Dagina Association led with 225 units, followed by the Naroda Industries Association with 170 units and the All India Mobile Association with 133 units. Hardware trade bodies, Akhil Gujarat Hardware Association and Dariapur Hardware Association, jointly contributed 106 units.Other notable contributors included Astral Limited, which collected 180 units from Dholka and Santej units, Ahmedabad Furniture Association with 54 units, Shri Panchkuva Kapad Mahajan with 56 units, Meghmani Group with 39 units, and the Gujarat Garment Manufacturers Association with 20 units.Retail and service sector bodies such as the Ahmedabad Optical Association with 35 units, RATA & ISHARE with 24 units, Chandkheda Vepari Sangathan with 48 units, and Ahmedabad Timber Merchant Association with 40 units also played a key role in the effort. Meanwhile, Swarrnim Startup and Innovation University organised a blood donation camp on the campus in association with Lion’s Club of Gandhinagar, where 37 units of blood were collected.
