Ahmedabad : Gujarat University has finally announced the procedure for students to do external studies in Arts-Commerce courses in UG and PG but the exam form has not been announced yet. At present, instructions have been announced by the University including that students will have to produce a compulsory credit ID for external studies.
Moreover, BA, B.Com and MA, M.Com Fashion External i.e. first year students of this year has announced the instructions to fill the form in Semester-1. However, the exam form has not been declared yet. As per the instructions published by the Uni, these students are required to produce ABC (Academic Bank of Credit) ID. After creating the ID from the website https://www.abc.gov.in of the Government of India, the university has to be selected. The student is currently enrolled for external semester-1 only. The subject is not to be chosen. Subject selection and payment of required examination fee will be intimated separately. The student will also have to upload the PDF of Marksheet, Aadhaar Card and ABC ID of the last study done.
Importantly, the first semester exam form for BA, B.Com and MA, M.Com has not been announced by Gujarat University yet. Also, there is no clarity on the calculation of 50-50 percent credit assessment in the credit curriculum framework as for regular students. Internal evaluation of regular students is 50 percent and uni exam evaluation is 50 percent. But there is still no clarity on the issue of how much and how to count credit per subject in the first semester for external. About which the students are confused. 1st year-1st semester external exam form may be declared by Gujarat Uni after Diwali.
