Rajkot: A land dispute over the boundary of a farm escalated into a violent clash between relatives in Khijadia village of Amreli’s Bagasara taluka, leaving a 55-year-old man dead and two others including the assailant injured.
The confrontation began with an argument between the relatives regarding the demarcation of a farm boundary. Kalu Vala (55) succumbed to injuries sustained during the clash.
The two injured, Jayraj Vala, who is accused of killing Kaly, and Rajdeep, the deceased’s son were shifted to Amreli Civil Hospital for treatment.
Following the incident, assistant superintendent of police (ASP), Dhari division, Jayvir Gadhvi along with teams from the Local Crime Branch (LCB) and Special Operations Group (SOG) rushed to the hospital and began an investigation.
Police interrogated the two injured and launched further probe to identify other people involved in the brawl.
Security has also been enhanced in the hospital to thwart any backlash from the victim’s family.
