Ahmedabad: The state education department has issued directives for conducting district internal mutual transfers and inter-district mutual transfer camps. As per the resolution, applications will be verified by April 10, and orders for district internal transfers will be issued by April 14.
Similarly, orders for inter-district transfers will be finalised by April 19. A camp will be organised on April 15 at the selection committee in Gandhinagar to distribute the inter-district transfer list to the respective districts.
According to sources, officials have been instructed to proceed with these transfers as per the resolution dated May 11, 2023. It states that mutual transfers should be conducted through the camp process under the direction of the director of primary education, with no requirement for the teacher’s physical presence. Primary assistant teachers wishing to apply for internal or inter-district mutual transfers must submit their applications to their taluka primary education officer between March 1 and March 31 each year. These applications must then be submitted to the district office by April 10. Once submitted, applications cannot be withdrawn.
By April 10, 2025, the district authorities must review all inter-district transfer applications and notify applicants of any rejected applications with reasons. Approved applications will be categorised by district and department, and the finalised list will be handed over at the April 15 camp. Officials have been instructed to ensure that no applications are left pending. A copy of the final list must also be submitted to the primary education director’s office.
