The Israeli military said Wednesday (Nov. 20) the Israeli Air Force (IAF) took out the commanders of the anti-tank missile and operations unit of the Lebanon-based militant group Hezbollah in the coastal sector. The Israeli military claimed the commanders were behind several terror attacks targeting civilian communities in the Western Galilee and Israel’s coastal area.
The IAF is said to have targeted over 100 sites housing Hezbollah’s launchers, weapons storage facilities, and command centres over the past 24 hours.
Earlier, IDF’s Northern Command chief, Major-General Ori Gordin, carried out a situational assessment in southern Lebanon and declared there have been “good achievements so far.”

Gordin stated, “We are in the middle of an offensive in this area. There have been very good achievements so far, and you have played a big role in them.”
He added that Hezbollah’s firepower had been severely neutered, saying, “It begins with our firepower targeting the organisation’s firepower capabilities, which have been dramatically reduced.”
Hezbollah chief says US offered peace proposal
Meanwhile, Hezbollah chief Naim Qassem said Wednesday in a televised address that Washington had offered the group a ceasefire proposal and he had already submitted his review and feedback to the US officials.
Qassem added that the ball was now in Israel’s court, saying, “If you attack Beirut, we will be attacking Tel Aviv.”
“We will not stand by while our capital is attacked,” he added.
The Hezbollah chief added that attacks on the group were “very painful” but the organisation managed to recover.
“The attacks on us were painful, but our organization managed to recover from the price it suffered. We have strong and determined fighters,” said Qassem.
“We have two choices,” he said, “either the casket, or humiliation, and humiliation is out of our reach.”
