Announcing the launch of 100 Entrepreneurship Awareness Programs (EAPs) across the country
The National Commission for Women (NCW) in collaboration with the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII) has announced the launch of 100 Entrepreneurship Awareness Programs (EAPs) across the country for potential women entrepreneurs.The first of the 100 EAPs to be held across the country was inaugurated in Ujjain by the Chief Guest Hon’ble Governor of Madhya Pradesh.
Aim to develop entrepreneurship skills
The objective of this one-day EAP is to educate the participating women on the benefits of adopting entrepreneurship as a career, learn the best skills and encourage them to become entrepreneurs by overcoming social, economic and family barriers.
EAP aims to develop entrepreneurship skills among women, so that they can acquire the information, skills and motivation they need to create their own businesses.
Women associated with self-help groups are making good progress
Talking about EAP, Honorable Governor of Madhya Pradesh said that, the country is moving forward with the vision of ‘sabka saath sabka vikas’ development. There is significant growth and recognition in women’s leadership.
Further, women associated with self-help groups are making good progress. They are talking confidently about their success, their businesses and their future plans. Women have made tremendous strides under the various initiatives implemented under the leadership of the Hon’ble Prime Minister of the country.

Lastly, emphasizing the need for a favorable environment for women entrepreneurs, Dr. Munjpara said, “We are working towards advancing India’s women’s leadership development agenda by accelerating women’s leadership and empowerment in the public and private sectors.” Women are the backbone of our society, playing a vital role in shaping our future.
