Gandhinagar: In a major reshuffle in the bureaucracy, the state govt transferred 13 IAS officers on Tuesday. Ashwani Kumar, principal secretary, urban development and urban housing department, was transferred and appointed as principal secretary, sports, youth and cultural activities department. M Thennarasan, who was principal secretary, sports, youth and cultural activities department, was transferred and appointed as the new principal secretary, urban development and urban housing department.The transfer notification issued by general administration department stated that Ashwani Kumar will continue to hold additional charge of principal secretary, legislative and parliamentary affairs. Ramesh Chand Meena, who was principal secretary in the food, civil supplies and consumer affairs department, was transferred and appointed as principal secretary, ports and transport department, relieving Ashwani Kumar of the additional charge of that post.Milind Torawane, managing director (MD), Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (GSPC), was transferred and appointed as principal secretary, panchayats, rural housing and rural development department, relieving Manisha Chandra of additional charge of that post. Torawane will continue to hold additional charge of the post of MD, GSPC.Arti Kanwar, secretary, finance department (economic affairs), will hold additional charge of the secretary, finance department (expenditure). Jenu Devan, superintendent of stamps and inspector general of registration, will hold additional charge of the post of MD, Madhya Gujarat Vij Company Ltd (MGVCL), relieving Tejas Parmar of that post.Rajkot collector Prabhav Joshi was transferred and appointed as MD, Tourism Corporation of Gujarat Ltd (TCGL). Tejas Parmar, MD, MGVCL, was appointed as municipal commissioner of Junagadh Municipal Corporation in place of Om Prakash who was transferred and appointed as Rajkot collector.Panchmahal collector Ashish Kumar was transferred and appointed as director, tribal development, relieving Supreet Singh Gulati of additional charge of that post. The transfer order stated that Ashish Kumar will hold additional charge of CEO, Development Support Agency of Gujarat (D-SAG).Among other transfers, Dang DDO Suthar Raj Rameshchandra was transferred and appointed as Narmada DDO while Ankit Pannu, who was the Narmada DDO, was transferred and appointed as Jamnagar DDO. Patil Anand Ashok, project administrator, tribal area sub plan, was transferred and appointed as Dang DDO.
