Ahmedabad: The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) officially released the final answer key for GujCET 2025. Following the release of the provisional answer key, the board invited objections from students. Based on expert review of these objections, changes were made, resulting in an increase in bonus marks for students before the declaration of results.
Earlier, according to the provisional key, Gujarati- and English-medium students were to receive three marks while Hindi-medium students were to get four bonus marks. However, after revisions in the physics section, all students will now receive one additional mark. Therefore, Gujarati- and English-medium students will now get a total of 4 marks, and Hindi-medium students, 5 bonus marks.
The GujCET exam was conducted on March 23 for admissions to engineering and pharmacy courses. The provisional answer key was released on April 1. According to it, all students were to get one bonus mark in mathematics and two marks in chemistry due to identified errors. Hindi-medium students were to get one extra mark in biology.
Objections to the provisional key were accepted until April 5. Many students submitted challenges, which were reviewed by subject experts. During the review, an error was found in one physics question, leading to the decision to award an additional mark in that subject.
The board retained the provisional answer keys for mathematics, chemistry, and biology as final, since no further errors were found. However, the physics answer key was revised to reflect the newly identified error.
Based on this final answer key, the board will now prepare the GujCET results, factoring in the additional marks awarded to students across all mediums.
