Idaho US Presidential Election 2024: Voting, result info, and all you need to know


Idaho US Presidential Election 2024:  Idaho, a landlocked state in the Pacific Northwest and Mountain West subregions of the Western United States, is set to witness the presidential elections on November 5. It is a widely populated Mountain West state. 

Moreover, it is a deeply red state, with no presidential Democratic candidate after Lyndon B. Johnson’s narrow win in 1964. Republicans have been securing all statewide offices since 2007, hence giving more expectations for Republicans to win in 2024 elections. 

How to vote in Idaho? 

Along with in-person voting, early voting options are also available for voters in Idaho. Voters can choose to vote on Election Day or during the in-person absentee voting period. Notably, in-person absentee locations may be less crowded. 

Polls will be open on election day (November 5) from 8 am to 8 pm.

Donald Trump – Republican Party 

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. – We The People

Jill Stein – Green Party of the United States

Key dates to keep in mind while registering to vote in Idaho:

Deadline to register in person: October 11 

Deadline to register online: October 11 

Last day to vote early in person: November 1 

Election Day: November 5

US Senate Election in the state

This year, for the first time in 30 years, the Idaho Democratic Party is running candidates in each legislative district on the ballot. 

In the previous elections, Republican Donald Trump won the most votes in 31 of Idaho’s legislative districts, and Democrat Joe Biden won the most votes in four districts. 

How Idaho voted in last presidential elections

In previous elections, Idaho voted for Joe Biden by a 29.2-point margin. It was the fourth biggest margin for Biden among the 50 US states.
