Acting on a tip-off, the District LCB raided the society’s house Olpad late at night, where 130 ready-made bags and bottles full of English liquor were seized. The police seized a total of Rs 1.30 lakh. Information is being received that the accused is originally from Rajasthan.
During the last 11 months, PCB has registered 129 cases of prohibition and seized foreign and domestic liquor worth a total of two and a half crores. Out of which, in the last three months, the police registered 79 cases and confiscated liquor worth 1.23 crores. Besides, 1.20 crore worth of money was seized in a gambling-related case. This includes one crore in cash and goods during the last three months. 10 to 15 lakhs cash has also been seized in many cases in these gambling cases. Besides, many big cases of bogus call center and betting and dabba trading have been worked. It is most notable that after the action of PCB, action has been taken against the local police in several cases.
