Ahmedabad: A passenger from Dubai was apprehended by a team from the Customs department at the city airport on Tuesday. The man was found to be in possession of 382g of 24-carat gold with a market value of Rs 34.7 lakh.
An examination of the passenger resulted in the recovery of a 382.1g gold bar, derived from gold spray paste mixed with chemicals, concealed between the two layers of the trousers (leggings) worn by the person, mentioned a note by the department. It was the second gold seizure on the second consecutive day from the airport. tnn
