Manchester United footballer and England centre-back Harry Maguire is in Mumbai and has been spotted soaking up the local culture by not only posing in front of the Taj Mahal Hotel near the Gateway of India, but also eat a city classic vada pav, while also sparing some time to play football with children in the city.
With the city`s long history with football and the English Premier League with fan clubs of Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea among others, Maguire`s visit is a refreshing surprise for the club`s fans, who haven`t had a good season.
The footballer was in the city along with his club teammates Diogo Dalot and Andre Onana for an event, a few days after the conclusion of their English Premier League season, which ended with them in the 15th position. It came after they lost the UEFA Europa League final to Tottenham Hotspur on May 21.
Dressed in a white Manchester United jersey with black sleeves, Maguire was spotted all smiles in the city, which is in between seasons, and will expect rain in the coming weeks after an intense summer.
