Ahmedabad: From 14.4°C on Saturday, the minimum temperature on Sunday reached 17.6°C, recording a rise of 3.2 degrees in 24 hours. The minimum temperature in the city was 4.6 degrees above normal, whereas the maximum temperature at 27.5°C was 1.3 degrees lower than normal.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast, the minimum temperature is likely to be around 18°C on Monday.
“No large change in minimum temperatures during the next two days. Thereafter, a gradual rise by 2-4 degrees is very likely,” mentioned the IMD forecast.
The forecast mentioned chances of light rain on Dec 26 and 27 in several parts of Kutch, Saurashtra and central, and north Gujarat.
Only Naliya recorded a minimum temperature below 10°C at 7.2°C.
All other cities and towns recorded minimum temperatures above 13°C, whereas the maximum temperature reached 29°C and above in three cities and towns. tnn
