Senior IMD officers said that the monsoon trough has not gained enough traction for the northward journey, and chances are slim for significant rainfall in several states, including Gujarat, in the next few days. Thus, for the state, the spell of hot and humid weather will continue, they added. The IMD forecast indicated no major change in temperatures in the region over the next seven days.
