Automatic sensors have been installed at the entry and exit points of multilevel parking.
Ahmedabad : If you go to see the Atal Bridge and Flower Park located on the Sabarmati Riverfront in Ahmedabad, then you won’t have the problem of vehicle parking anymore. Because, in front of Atal Bridge, a seven-storey multi-level parking has been constructed by the Sabarmati Riverfront Development Corporation at a cost of Rs.60 crore. Today, the multilevel parking was inaugurated by Mayor Kirit Parmar, Deputy Mayor Geetaben Patel, Standing Committee Chairman Hitesh Barot, Ruling Party leader Bhaskar Bhatt and Dandak Arun Singh Rajput. A small skybridge has also been constructed for direct access to Atal Bridge from the parking lot. So people can park the vehicle and go directly to Atal Bridge. Multilevel parking will be opened for citizens from Friday, September 8.
Moreover, Sabarmati Riverfront Development Corporation Executive Director I.K. Patel said that, multilevel parking has been constructed on the riverfront by Sabarmati Riverfront Development Corporation Limited, in which 1000 two wheelers and 700 four wheelers can be parked. Atal Bridge on the Sabarmati Riverfront and a Sky Walk has been constructed to allow visitors to the Sabarmati Event Center directly from the parking lot.
The Sabarmati Riverfront Events Center and Grounds host some major events every month. Then there is a big problem of parking. For which a multilevel parking has been built on the riverfront. The multilevel parking can accommodate 1,700 vehicles, including two-wheelers and four-wheelers. While 170 vehicles can be parked in the basement. A separate parking arrangement has also been arranged for SVP Hospital in multilevel parking with 700 four-wheeler and 1000 two-wheeler parking spaces. A separate parking lot has been made for the staff of SVP Hospital. For which a part of the basement has been kept for the hospital and a separate arrangement has been made for the ambulance parking.
Apart from tha, Sabarmati Riverfront Multilevel Parking has two entrances. Vehicles will be able to enter the multilevel parking from opposite the Atal Bridge gate at the west end of the riverfront as well as from the VS Crematorium. On both sides of the entrance and near the building, there are LED screens showing the information about the number of cars available on all floors in the parking lot. From basement and ground floor to 7th floor, lift facility is provided on every floor. CCTV cameras are installed on every floor from entry to exit. So that theft or any other activity can be monitored. An automatic electronic display system has been placed at each floor and entry point to show how much parking is available. So, the place where the car will be parked will be automatically informed by the automatic sensor system on the display. E-Zone has been arranged for electric vehicle charging on each floor. Automatic sensors have been installed at the entry and exit points of multilevel parking. So when any vehicle enters or exits the parking lot, it can exit only after displaying on the automatic sensor.
