Ahmedabad: This Western Zone National Conclave will be jointly organised by the National Council for Teacher Education, govt of India, and Gujarat Vidyapith on March 27-28. The organisers anticipate participation from over 250 representatives from Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Goa, Chhattisgarh, and Union Territory Diu-Daman-Dadra Nagar Haveli.
During the conclave, six sessions are scheduled, centred on ‘Transforming Teacher Education Towards Developed India 2047‘, in accordance with the implementation of the National Education Policy 2020.
Detailed discussions will also cover impending changes to the four-year curriculum, BEd and MEd programmes.
NCTE chairman Pankaj Arora and Gujarat Vidyapith vice-chancellor Harshad Patel, alongside Gujarat governor Acharya Devvrat, will be present during the inauguration. Participants will include senior representatives, vice-chancellors, state officials, education department officials, educators, and researchers from western states.
