Ahmedabad: The Gujarat State Examination Boardannounced results for the primary and secondary scholarship exams conducted on April 26. From a total of 2.5 lakh participants, 1.29 lakh students achieved passing marks. Of 1.95 lakh participants, 94,791 qualified in the primary scholarship exam, while 34,813 of 54,403 candidates succeeded in the secondary category.The online registration concluded on April 9, with the enrolment of 2,69,014 students: 2,07,043 for primary and 61,971 for secondary level. Students required a minimum score of 35% to qualify. The results showed that 20,000 students scored above 55%, 6,000 exceeded 65%, and 1,500 achieved above 75%. Additionally, 164 students surpassed 85%, whilst only two students achieved scores above 95%.The scholarship allocation follows a taluka-based system, offering 1,000 scholarships for primary students and 2,900 for secondary students. The secondary scholarships are divided into 1,500 for rural areas, 1,000 for urban areas, and 400 for tribal regions. The merit list will include only the highest-scoring students within these designated quotas.The exams were administered from 11am to 1pm on April 26, with official results released on Wednesday, providing definitive outcomes for numerous students and families throughout the state.
