Surat : Another case of city school administrators not following Gujarat Education Board rules has come to light. During the board examination, some schools did not give hall tickets to the students due to fees, the same incident happened today in a school located in Limbayat area of the city. The management of mount mary school put the future of 200 students at risk by not following the policy rules of the Gujarat Government Education Department. The only fault of these poor students was that their parents did not pay the fees. The management of Mount Mary School who did not pay the fees stopped the students who had reached the school to take the examination outside the examination hall. The exam was at 8 AM but they were not allowed to enter the exam hall till 9 AM, jeopardizing their future. Following this incident, a crowd of parents gathered outside the school. A large number of students and parents had gathered. They expressed displeasure against the attitude of the school management.

Politicians also became active after the video went viral. The former corporator of the city, Aslam Cyclewala, complained to the Surat district education officer in this matter. Cyclewala wrote to the DEO that the management of Mount Mary School today prevented more than 200 students from different classes from appearing in the annual examination due to the fee issue. They have publicly humiliated the students regarding the fees and caused them mental torture. An act has been committed which seriously affects the future of the students. Taking this incident seriously, the DEO has demanded action against the school administrators.
