Rajkot: In Marvadi University, which is considered to be the home of learning, there has once again been a discussion about the sharing of alcohol along with learning. An action was taken by the Rajkot city police on 13th April last at Marvadi University of Rajkot city. Under which finally after three months the report of FSL has been received by PI JR Desai of Kuwadwa Police Station against an unknown person under the NDPS Act.
In the complaint given to the Kuwadwa police, the complainant has stated that on 13th April 2023, suspected narcotic plants were found from the campus of Marvadi College University by Nitin Chauhan, who was working as security in-charge at Marvadi University. The matter was reported. Also, the staff of Kuwadwa Police reached the incident site in the whole matter. Along with this, the help of FSL officer SH Upadhyay was also obtained.
The trees are planted near the garden behind the building boys hostel on the campus of University. A pile of green vegetable matter was also found around it. At that time, the police seized about 23 cannabis plants from the incident site. Subsequently, it was sent to Gandhinagar for testing, and the test revealed that, the suspected substance was of Marijuana. Also, in the test conducted at Gandhinagar, the amount of tetrahydrocannabinol, cannabinol and its cannabidiol components have been found in the leaves.
While during the investigation of the Special Operation Group, how long was the cultivation of narcotic ganja plants going on in a place considered as a center of learning like Marvadi University. It will also be important to see what the investigation reveals about whether any students or other staff were ingesting marijuana plants grown on the university campus.
