Ahmedabad : Alcohol and gambling dens are booming in Ahmedabad. Some time ago, the police cross-red a gambling house in Sarkhej area. After that there was an uproar among gamblers. But now gamblers have become active in city. In Ahmedabad’s City Kotda area, the police, acting on a tip-off, arrested seven gamblers red-handed while gambling in an open stable, in which a gambler named Vijay Lalchandani has been declared wanted.
According to the details received, the city police in Ahmedabad received information that a person named Vijay Lalchandani was playing gambling by inviting people from outside in an open stable in Kadiawad in Saraspur. The police raided the stables based on a tip-off. Meanwhile, people ran away in the dark as soon as someone shouted that the police had come. At this place seven people were caught by the police cordon. The police seized a total of 2.74 lakh worth of valuables including cash, vehicles and mobile phones from them. Among the gamblers arrested by the police are Mohammed Mushtaq Ghulam Ahmed Sheikh, Salim Musabhai Taylor, Vicky Patel, Parth Dharwa, Bhavesh Parmar, Jignesh Ponikar, Yogesh Shrimali and gambler Vijay Lalchandani and further action has been taken.
