The title of actor Ram Charan’s 16th film was unveiled on his 40th birthday, along with his first look. Taking to X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday, film’s director Buchi Babu Sana shared posters of the film titled Peddi. It was earlier tentatively titled RC16. In the posters, Charan embraces an intense, earthy, and fiercely raw character. The first-look poster captures him in a gritty, no-nonsense avatar—with piercing eyes, messy hair, an untamed beard, and a nose ring.

He wears a striped red and smokes a cigar. The second poster reveals him holding an old cricket bat, with a rustic village stadium illuminated by floodlights in the background. Sharing the posters, the director wrote, “Happy Birthday my Dear @AlwaysRamCharan Sir..In one word you are Gold Sir. Tqq for everything Sir.”

The film also features Shiva Rajkumar, Janhvi Kapoor, Jagapathi Babu, and Divyendu Sharma. Peddi has been written by Buchi Babu Sana and presented by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings under the banner of Vriddhi Cinemas.
The film is produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru, with music by AR Rahman, cinematography by R Rathnavelu, production design by Avinash Kolla, editing by Navin Nooli, and VY Praveen Kumar as the executive producer. The shooting of the film is set to start soon.
Ram Charan’s last film
Ram Charan was last seen in Game Changer, which was a huge box office bomb. The film, which stars Kiara Advani alongside Charan, was released on January 10 in theatres. Directed by S Shankar, Game Changer is currently streaming on Prime Video. It will be available for streaming in Telugu, with dubs in Tamil and Kannada languages.
