The state govt on Monday sanctioned Rs 294 crore for the four-laning of major roads in south, central, and north Gujarat, and the construction of bridges on these roads. An official statement said that Rs 26 crore will be spent on the construction of a bridge over the Damanganga River at Bhurwad village in Kaprada taluka. A sum of Rs 136 crore will be spent on four-laning the Visnagar-Vijapur Road, and Rs 132 crore will be spent on four-laning the Anand-Karamsad-Sojitra Road.
CM felicitates winners of Vikas Saptah quiz
Chief minister Bhupendra Patel on Monday felicitated winners of the Vikas Saptah quiz and Vikas Saptah photo competitions, which were organised to mark the development journey of the state over the past 23 years. An official statement said that more than 73,000 persons participated in the contests that were organised on the ‘My Gov’ platform.
