Gandhinagar: Chief minister Bhupendra Patel on Friday laid the foundation stone of the School of Ultimate Leadership (SOUL) in Gandhinagar.
The Rs 150-crore institute will offer short- and long-term training courses in health, education, rural development and sanitation.
The state govt said the institute is being set up to promote value-based and effective leadership in governance, social welfare and policy-making.
The campus, to come up over an area of 22 acres near Gujarat Biotechnology University in Gandhinagar, will become operational in two years.
“Upon the completion of SOUL’s state-of-the-art campus in Gandhinagar, formal programmes will begin in March 2027, offering medium-term courses ranging from 1 to 3 months and long-term programmes spanning 9 to 12 months,” the govt said.
