Surat Municipal Corporation Western Railway, Gujarat State Road Transport has started the first phase of railway station development in Surat. For this project, the Municipality tried to negotiate with the owner of the land to get 162 square meters of land before the railway culvert for the entry-exit of the project from the Surat-Kamrej Varachha main road towards the east of Suryapur Garanala near Varachha.
Lastly, they showed readiness to provide space at the price of two and a half lakh rupees per square meter, but as the municipality found the offer made by the land owners to be unreasonable, now the municipality has decided to acquire the land used for this project and the proposal for this has been presented to the standing committee.
