Israeli strikes in Beit Lahia, northern Gaza killed at least 87 people on Sunday (Oct 20) as per the Hamas-run local authorities. In other news, the opposition INDIA alliance will contest the upcoming assembly elections in the Indian state of Jharkhand together, Chief Minister Hemant Soren announced on Saturday (Oct 19), adding that his Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and the Congress will contest 70 of 81 seats in the state assembly.
