A Brazilian public figure, with over 13 million followers on Instagram, has come under fire for dancing during live TV coverage of a fatal bus crash that resulted in the death of three football athletes.
Last weekend, a deadly bus crash in Pirai, Rio de Janeiro, claimed the lives of athletes from the Coritiba Crocodiles, a Brazilian American football team. However, as journalist Isabela Campos was reporting from the scene live, MC Livinho disrupted the coverage and started dancing behind her.

MC Livinho didn’t stop even as the camera crew signalled him to move away.
Internet livid
Livinho’s action drew massive criticism on social media, as he was accused of showing disrespect towards the victims of the tragedy.
Some questioned Livinho’s sense of responsibility as a public figure, singer and influencer.
Half-hearted apology
As the criticism mounted, the Brazilian influencer posted a half-hearted apology video on social media. He defended himself saying he didn’t know that an accident had happened there.
“Everyone was saying that an accident had happened, and here we are stuck in traffic. We didn’t know that any accident had happened, you know?” he claimed.
He continued, “I want to express my condolences for the loss you had, right? Because now that I went online, I saw fans saying, ‘It was an accident.’ So, my condolences to everyone… For those who know Livinho, I will never stop bringing you joy. I will never stop bringing you my self-esteem, my talk.”
However, his apology was brushed off by users as mere insincere and a superficial attempt to salvage his reputation.
