The World Health Organization (WHO) has set the theme for the year 2023 as “WE NEED FOOD, NOT TOBACCO”.
Doctor said that, “YOU MUST BE THE CHANGE YOU WISH TO SEE IN THE WORLD” To stop tobacco consumption, one has to start from oneself for which every citizen has to adopt a mantra. Now I won’t consume tobacco,and I won’t allow any member of the family to consume tobacco, this mantra will create awareness among the citizens and stop the consumption of tobacco.
Talking about what should be done to avoid the harm caused by tobacco, he said that one should talk to friends and family about the dangers of tobacco use. If they smoke, they should be encouraged to quit and help them to quit. Tobacco control laws such as smoke-free workplaces and bans on flavored tobacco products can help reduce tobacco use.
Lastly, it should be supported. Apart from this, the help of a psychiatrist can also be taken at nearby medical centers to quit smoking. By working together, we can protect the health of citizens by reducing tobacco use and freeing the country and the world from the clutches of tobacco.
