Ahmedabad: Following India’s retaliatory response to cross-border terrorism, the Indian Medical Association (IMA) Gujarat called on its members to be ready for emergency medical deployment.In a circular issued to all state committee members and local branches, IMA Gujarat urged doctors, specialists and paramedics to stay prepared for any situation requiring urgent medical support, particularly surgical and critical care, in coordination with govt and military hospitals.“In the wake of recent events, we, healthcare professionals, need to be geared up to meet any exigency that might arise. Hospital facilities with govt and military may require our support in certain situations that require immediate ramping up of specialists and paramedics for all kinds of surgical and critical care management,” the circular stated.“If contacted by CDMOs, CDHOs, or hospital superintendents, district chapters and hospitals must extend full support,” the message stated.
